Alex Mbakogu is a seasoned financial service professional with over 25 years of experience across Leasing, structured finance, treasury, budgeting and budgetary control, financial accounting, tax management and operational efficiency. He is widely recognized for his strong track record in financial control, treasury management, operational efficiency, business strategy and execution.

Over the course of his career, Alex has held several senior leadership positions. He served as Managing Director, Leasafric Ghana Limited-the largest non-bank leasing company in Ghana and held the position of Executive Director/ Chief Financial Officer as well as Chief Operating Officer of C&I Leasing Plc. In these roles, he played key roles in major corporate initiatives, including initial public offer (IPO), right issue, and a successful share reverse reconstruction.

Alex holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) in Finance and a Bachelor of Science (Honours) degree in Accountancy (Second Class Upper Division), University of Nigeria, Enugu Campus. He has further strengthened his leadership and global finance expertise through numerous local and international programs, including Executive Team Leadership at Lagos Business School and the Global Markets Program for International Executives at Harvard University, Cambridge, Massachusetts.

He has served on several boards including C&I Leasing Plc, Leasafric Ghana Limited (over ten years), and C&I/SIFAX Ltd. Alex is a Fellow of The Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria (ICAN) and an Associate of the Chartered Institute of Taxation of Nigeria. He also serves as a facilitator for the Equipment Leasing Association of Nigeria (ELAN).
